What's a pinole? Is it a type of pizza?

We'll be at the London BSX no doubt about it, but I heard they use unsafe butter, or "margarine".

Heh, wow! Look at my inability to memorize the state of California's cities and towns. *Woosh*... Oh, hello embarrassment.

I should have done that in the first place. It is like common sense to wikipedia anything one does not know:P

If I didn't live sort of close to Pinole, I would think it was a type of pizza as well

A Pinole Pizza would of course be Salmon, Feta Cheese, Guacamole, Sundried Tomatos, dusted with hundreds-and-thousands on a fluffy thick base.

I mean, it's quite obvious from the nam right?

Putting butter on your pizza is not mandatory, but I solemnly swear that if anyone brings butter to BSX Pinole I will put some on my pizza.

Also, this just in: there is a strong possibility that at BSX Pinole there will be cake.

So we added an update to the main BSX page, and I imagine we'll say something on the main Buttersafe news post as well, but I wanted to say thanks here for the rad convention. We were mostly expecting a hilariously empty room, but instead there were awesome people in every direction. Except towards the ceiling. Spiderman did not come to our convention :(

The BSX flickr pool is here, but until it gets approved by a flickr moderator you won't be able to see the pictures unless you already have a flickr account. In the meantime, those without flickr accounts can view some pictures here and here.

Yes, The Noir Project and Buttersafe have very close geographic origins! Unfortunately, the next BSX won't be happening until 2009, but when it does you should definitely come up and partake in the pizza.

What are the chances of you guys being at APE in November? Because it's really close you you, and also more than likely right up your alley, specifically if you have some sort of merch ready in six to seven months.

Hey Ashley. Speaking of APE, it's definitely something we've been considering going to for a while now (since we too live in the Bay Area). However, before we can go, we'd have to have some stuff ready to do/sell there. We'd like to have some t-shirts made in the not too distant future. If we can get those (and a couple other things) ready by November, then we will probably seriously consider going. Until that happens, we're can't say for sure we'll be there, but we definitely want to!

Even if you guys aren't planning on exhibiting there, its good idea to jut check it out, to get a feel for the place. It's very indie-friendly (if nothing else you'll probably get a cool t-shirt out of it,), and getting to know other folks in the webcomics biz is never a bad idea either.

SOMETHING TO CONSIDER.
