Buttersafe Expo (BSX) is a chance for people to hang out and eat pizza. That's what we plan on doing. Or, at least, we will be buying pizzas and hoping people come hang out with us. When we launched BSX, however, we received many messages from people who wanted to come eat pizza with us but were unable to because they lived tens, hundreds, or thousands of miles away. We would love to hold gatherings in each and every one of your respective home towns, but due to a lack of money and the laws of physics, we are unable to be everywhere at once.
So, that's why we originally launched this forum! If the whole point of BSX is to get people together to eat it pizza--and it is--then we wanted to provide a place for people to be able to organize their own Buttersafe Expos where ever they would like with anyone else who is interested.
So if you would like to eat pizza and would like to find some other people to eat that pizza with, go to the forum for your continent and post away. All we ask is that you consider the following:
1. Above all, be safe, kind and cool.
2. If you you're partying with strangers, please do it in a public place. And if you're going to a pizza parlor or other such establishment and think there are going to be a ton of people in your party, it's probably a good idea to check with a manager well ahead of time.
3. Just because you want to eat pizza doesn't mean you HAVE to announce it on the forums if you don't want to! Feel free to just have private gatherings, and of course you're still welcome to post photos to the flickr pool.
As a final note, just like last year we don't really have any idea how into this people will be. You might find some enthusiastic people near you who would love to join you for pizza or you might not get any response at all. If the latter happens, don't be sad or discouraged! This whole thing is meant in good fun. If nothing else, there's nothing stopping you from just having some pizza by yourself or with your loved ones, and there's nothing stopping that pizza from being ridiculously tasty.
Whatever your path, good luck, have fun, and thanks for reading!
